With the world facing a global pandemic, the dialogue around mental health for documentary filmmakers has taken on a new urgency. For filmmakers, these issues have long existed but questions around career sustainability, stability and system inequality, and how this all impacts on mental health have been brought into the spotlight in this moment of global uncertainty. This session will create a space for reflection on where we are as well as looking forward to the possibilities for a new reality, covering the opportunities that are available for the documentary industry to change the conversation around mental health. This session will be chaired by documentary producer and psychotherapist, Rebecca Day from Film In Mind and speakers include Yvonne Welbon, Lindsey Dryden and Ursula Liang.
