How can you make documentaries and also make a living? Surviving as a filmmaker can be a balancing act, and this session will feature a frank and honest conversation with freelance filmmakers about how they make money. The session will look at the various different routes in the industry, and explore how to find the balance between taking on personal projects and getting paid.  This session will be hosted by Open City’s Industry Manager Nia Childs and speakers include Ana Naomi de Sousa, Ayo Akingbade and Cherish Oteka.
