Filmmaker and choreographer Zhang Mengqi will give a lecture performance reflecting on her complex relationship with her father’s village, 47 km, as well as highlighting the evolution of the Folk Memory Project. The performance will also explore the abstract notions of time and memory, employing non-linguistic and multi-sensorial expressions as devices to create narrative.
