The Language of the Essay Film
The essay film is an elastic and fluid form with each unique work taking on its own verbal and visual language. This session explores the role of language in the essay film with a line up of artists and filmmakers discussing their creative process for writing, looking at how text and narration functions in their work, and how their writing processes intersect with visual storytelling. This session will be hosted by Laura Rascaroli and speakers include Amel Alzakout & Khaled Abdulwahed (Purple Sea), Kevin B. Lee & Chloé Galibert-Laîné (Bottled Songs 1-4) and Iva Radivojevic (Evaporating Borders)’
