The tenth edition of Open City Documentary Festival is planned to take place in London between 9th – 15th September 2020, with our development lab Assembly due to take place just before, from the 5th – 8th September.

As things stand, both of these events will proceed as planned, but considering the current events and the ways in which they may develop, this is subject to change. We are planning for any and all eventualities, and are confident that we will be able to deliver both the festival and the lab, in either their planned shape or a modified digital form, on the dates we had envisioned.

In all eventualities, we plan to deliver a (regular or online) festival accessible to public audiences and industry delegates as well as the development lab workshop and funding pitch for the selected Assembly projects. For this reason, we are continuing to encourage applications for Assembly (due: May 15th) and submissions for the festival (regular deadline: April 24th).
