Applications for Assembly, our new feature documentary development lab, close on May 3rd.

Assembly is a new development lab for creative documentaries with a £10,000 award attached which will take place in September 2019, organised by Open City Documentary Festival. It is free to apply, open to filmmakers internationally, and travel costs and accommodation are covered. Six places on the programme are available.

For those with finished work, the regular deadline for submissions for our 2019 festival is April 23rd. We accept non-fiction films of any length, short audio documentaries, as well as cross-media projects (VR/AR/XR/AI+), for exhibition at our screening events, and for our expanded realities exhibition.
