The Trajectory of Memory

Documentary storytelling can be used as a vital document to record events, injustices or communities to ensure they are not lost from the collective consciousness with the passing of time. This session will explore the potential for film to preserve memories, transmit testimony and create historical evidence. Our panel of filmmakers will discuss the challenges and creative responsibility faced by those using non-fiction moving image forms to document others’ stories.

Speakers include Simon Plouffe (Those Who Come, Will Hear) and RaMell Ross (Hale County This Morning, This Evening).
