Marc Isaacs Presents: Wadi, 10 Years Later + Discussion

Director Amos Gitai, Country Israel, Duration 97,

Peppered with unforgettable characters who wouldn’t feel out of place in a novel, Wadi, 10 Years Later—from Israeli filmmaker Amos Gitai—is a deeply affecting piece of filmmaking offering an alternate perspective on Arab-Israeli relations. Focusing on the intimate lives of three couples over a decade, Gitai elegantly constructs an episodic tale of coexistence between Eastern European migrant camp survivors and Arabs expelled from their homes – all living together on the margins of Israeli society in a an isolated former stone quarry. An unforgettably humane and life affirming piece of work, Wadi deserves to be witnessed by a wider audience.

Filmmaker Marc Isaacs will present Wadi, 10 Years Later, followed by a discussion about the film.
