Renowned editor and director of ‘Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo’ David Fairhead will share his insights into the journey of making a feature documentary.
David will discuss bringing the story together in editing and post production and the role post-production plays in getting your film into the best shape it can be, including advice on planning and shooting.
David’s editing credits include the Sundance winner In the Shadow of the Moon, BAFTA-nominated McCullin, Grierson winner Attacking the Devil, The Fear of 13 and The Last Man on the Moon. David is currently directing a feature documentary called ‘Spitfire’, which tells the story of the famous WWII fighter plane, and the men and women who flew her.
He will be joined by Gareth Dodds, the producer of The Last Man on the Moon and Mission Control, and representatives from Molinare Post Production, including BAFTA-winning Head of Documentary Feature Sound George Foulgham, as they discuss what happens when projects finish editing, the differences between TV and cinema documentary post-production, and how vital sound is. George’s credits include Oscar winners Man on Wire and The White Helmets, Oscar-nominated Virunga, and Listen to Me Marlon.
